The M3 medium tank is a tank developed and manufactured in the United States during World War II. Like the M3A3, the M3A5 is equipped with two GM 6046 in-line 12-cylinder liquid-cooled diesel engines, but unlike the M3A3, the body is riveted. In parallel with the M3A3, 591 vehicles were produced between January and December 1942, 208 of which were rent-leased. 185 tanks lent to the U.K. were called the Grant Mk. II.
